Mustafa Centre Singapore is the only 24-hour shopping mall in Singapore. It sells a variety of items from Indian groceries, Indian jewellery, Electronics and everything else you can imagine.
Mustafa Center Singapore History It began as a ready-made garment shop in 1971 on Campbell Lane in Little India Singapore. Within 2 years, they upgraded to a 900 square foot space along Serangoon Road, while adding electronic items to its product range. A further 900 square ft was soon added along with more products sourced from overseas based on the needs of its burgeoning customer traffic. In 1985, Mustafa Centre Singapore shifted to Serangoon Plaza (a 40,000 square ft space), which at the time was located away from the main shopping belt in Little India Singapore. Mustafa center continued on its meteoric rise to success with additional space rented within the building. The decision was made to own its own premises - with Mustaq Ahmad, the Managing Director of Mustafa Centre Singaproe, purchasing old shophouses along Syed Alwi Road one by one until he owned the whole row and rebuilding the area into a shopping mall that opened in April of 1995.
Mustafa Centre Today Today, there are over 300,000 items available for purchase on four levels covering an area of 400,000 square ft in a six-story building on Syed Alwi Road. Mustafa also offers complementary services such as foreign exchange and travel services. Mustafa Center Singapore sees tourists from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri-Lanka, and Asia. As its reputation has grown, it has also seen an increase in customers from the Middle-East, North Asia and Europe/America.
