What Exactly is PosH-RacK?
PosH-RacK is a Dubai based fashion and lifestyle pop-up brand that curates designer collections from destinations like India, Middle East, the UK and a select handful of local brands from the host city in question. The UAE homegrown brand has previously unfurled their magic in cities like Dubai, Bahrain, Delhi and London. And next on their list is our very own Hong Kong! (Now you understand why I used the word super-exciting, right!) The founder of PosH-RacK, who happens to be one of the most celebrated event planners of Dubai – Shefali Munshi was urged by her close friends and family members to launch her own brand of pop-ups, after years of curating an impressive list of designer lifestyle exhibitions, jewelry showcases, Bollywood galas and corporate events. “I am excited and overwhelmed at the same time. The PosH-RacK has received a lot of love and has gained following with designers, traveling on the racks since its inception and I can’t wait to take the brand to new destinations”, said a visibly delighted Shefali when she was asked about her upcoming big event in HK.
Meet The Celebrity Designers
Vikram Phadnis – The immensely talented and recently designer-turned-director Vikram Phadnis is the star designer of this event. His bank of clients includes a long list of Bollywood celebrities like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan, Salman Khan, Bipasha Basu and Malaika Arora Khan. Vikram’s brand resonates with royalty as he carefully employs rich fabrics, detailed embroideries and lavish use of embellishments in most of his work. Shehlaa by Shehla Khan – The designer behind some of the most breathtaking looks adorned by Kareena Kapoor Khan and Sonam Kapoor Ahuja in the last few years, Shehlaa Khan’s name is synonymous with luxury and comfort. Since Diwali is just around the corner, Shehla is heading to HK with her gorgeous festive collection. Seema Khan – If a wedding is on the cards somewhere, this would be a golden opportunity for you to look like a stunning Bollywood diva, as Seema Khan is bringing her glamorous designs to Hong Kong with PosH-RacK. Even though Seema offers much more than just traditional wear, it’s her collections of wedding lehengas and anarkalis that never seize to amaze us. Kaabia & Sasha Grewal of Outhouse Jewellery – The well known accessories brand from India has recently launched their Bachelorette Collection and Gifting Ideas for all the brides to be. Their effortlessly stylish designs are an absolutely ‘not-to-be-missed’. Anushkaa Bajaj, Azuli and Tamanna Punjabi Kapoor – These three luxury brands are going to bring exciting collections of feminine silhouettes in the form of statement shararas, fusion lehengas and sundown party wear gowns and dresses. VAVCI Luxury Menswear and BIORI Jewellery – Both of these Dubai-based brands are going to make their PosH-RacK debuts in Hong Kong. VAVCI was awarded at the New York Fashion Week 2017 for their exceptional designs and BIORI plans to unveil its exclusive FW18 collection for the very first time with this event. Other designers who’ll bring their select collections include – Mumbai’s chic brands Lotus Sutra Jewellery and Simply Simone, Hong Kong’s favorites – Rococo and Sweetie Sajnani and designs from Wrapture by Suzanne, Paashv by Chandni and Mesh by Ayesha Ghani. These 16 luxury fashion brands will be brought together under a single roof by PosH-Rack on the 10th of September at the Kowloon Shangri-La.
