The Family Friendly Holi Festival Events in Singapore

Minister Tan Chuan Jin at the Indian Holi Festival in Singapore in 2016.

1. Our Pick – Rang De Holi at Kembangan 2017

Date: 18 March 2017 Ticket Prices: $10 Location: Open field beside Kembangan MRT Station (East-West Line) Rang De Holi at Kembangan is now into its 12th year. The longest running Holi event has always delivered on its promise of great fun for everyone. This is the only Holi event to be graced by a minister. Minster of Social and Family Development, Tan Chuan-Jin, graced the event in 2016 and he will be in attendance once again to join in the fun. He sportingly played Holi with the attendees. So if you’re looking for a chance to play Holi with a minister, Rang De Holi at Kembangan should be your choice. There is also going to be a line up of bhangra, dance performances and singers to keep you entertained throughout. 2. Holi By The Sea Date: 12 March 2017 Ticket Prices: $20 Location: Angsana Green, East Coast Park The Siglap South CC IAEC and the Indian Women’s Association have teamed up once more to bring you Holi By The Sea 2017. Bollywood Holi Singapore 2017 Date: 18 March 2017 Ticket Prices: $20 Location: Angsana Green, East Coast Park Bollywood Holi 2017 is the 5th edition of the event. It is touted as the “Most Happening and Colourful Holi”. The description is definitely spot on as the event has been sold out for the past 4 years. If you’re an Eastie or love the beach, then this event is for you. 4. Let’s Play Holi Date: 18 and 19 March 2017 Ticket Prices: Free Location: Esplanade Lawn This event is the stand out event in the Holi events calendar this year. The talented Amit Dhamelia brings along his team of musicians to put you in the mood for Holi. The band will perform popular Holi folk songs from different parts of India. You can expect folk songs from Varanasi, Rajasthan, Punjab and more. Amit and band will be joined by other talented performers including Chandrani Sarma. For those of you who love Bollywood songs, the band will perform some foot tapping Bollywood numbers as well. We can’t wait for this event. Holi at the Esplanade Waterfront against the backdrop of the Singapore skyline… Truly an event that will be etched in our memories long after its over. The Holi Events for the Party Animals

Holi Party on Sentosa Island Singapore - Rang Barsay Heart thumping beats combined with alcohol on the sandy beaches of Sentosa Island, these holi events are wet, wild and insanely fun! The massive crowds you find at the Holi events on Sentosa are made up predominantly of tertiary students, young working professionals and expatriates.

7. Our Pick – Rang Barsay 2017

Date: 04 March 2017 Ticket Prices: $15 Location: Wave House Sentosa, Sentosa Island Rang Barsay has always been THE largest Holi beach party in Singapore. It attracted over 5,000 party goers last year! And in anticipation of a bigger crowd this year, the organizers have moved the party to the larger venue of Wave House Sentosa. These guys have raised the party awesomeness bar so high that Rang Barsay gets our pick for the party centric Holi event to attend – once again. Check out this amazing album from Rang Barsay 2015 to get an idea of the immense fun to be had. 8.
